I think this photo bears a bit of explanation... too plain a shot to say much on it's own... They are adorable little, yummy treats that a neighbor brought over on a plate last Christmas. They tasted as sweet as they were cute... I plan to make them this coming Season as well... maybe they'll get cuter each year as I go along... (Hoping so!) I'll snap another shot and you can help me judge. Thank you Lord for little extras even a midst of hard financial times. We are SO rich , while still yet, the working poor.. we are truly blessed.
We are Blessed,
not necessarily because of "church mice candies" but , well, just look around the blog... we ARE blessed, He (God) is good to us, even when we were so often, unfaithful. He truly loves us... Even when we squirmed in our muck and stench.. (not a popular image I'm sure) He lifted us out with utmost care, cleaned us up... and put on our feeble frames, His White Robes of Righteousness...
And to all who have accepted His Son's sacrifice as a fitting gift and payment for our sinful state of being--that we had no choice in the matter of, granted, BUT being born into it... well , it was our unwelcome, yet binding inheritance .
It marked us as unclean in the face of a Holy God... for life,
It exacted a death sentence on our heads..
But again, The Lord Jesus "paid off that debt in God's court" and we were pronounced "free to go... and grow" He is faithful.
